Brindle Cafe

Brindle Cafe a fair-trade, organic coffee and tea shop is planning to open their doors at 221 E. Girard Avenue.

They are going to be presenting their designs to the community at the Fishtown Zoning meeting.

Tuesday June 8th at 7pm.
In the Fishtown Recreation Center, 1020 East Montgomery Ave.

Brindle Cafe well be a great addition to the vibrant and growing East Girard Corridor. As they state on their website their "goal is to bring Philadelphia, the freshest and most delicious food and beverages influenced by their travels around the world, while striving to develop new ways to minimize our Eco-Footprint. "

The owners of the cafe are long time Fishtown residents who have been committed from the beginning to opening a in their own community.

Art For the Cash Poor

InLiquid is holding its Art For the Cash Poor festival (http://www.inliquid.com/features/aftcp11/) on June 12th - 13th.

The festival which takes place just off of Girard Avenue includes live music, Food Vendors such as Quince Fine Foods and Las Cazuelas, and lots of paricipating Philadelphia artists.
